Frequently Asked Questions about The Khular First Step Programme

Here are a few FAQs about the six week long programme hosted at Khular offices in Johannesburg and via Virtual Platforms (i.e. WhatsApp Video, Skype, Viber, etc.)


QUESTION: Is the cost of the program per person or per business?


ANSWER: The cost of the programme is per person, this allows us to give dedicated attention to the individual. We limit attendance to 20 clients per month, we’ve found the consultations more impactful when we give people dedicated attention.

Note: Additional team members will be billed at R500 per member.


QUESTION: What happens during the course of the programme?


ANSWER: We enable small businesses/brand owners by providing them with the insights and education they need to better serve their businesses through utilizing social and digital media. In five sessions focusing on the topics of platform best practices, media planning, brand strategy, disruptive creative thinking, influencer campaigns, personal branding, and company culture, we equip our clients with the language and tactical understanding they’ll need to build and scale their brands, campaigns, and businesses.


QUESTION: What happens if I stay far?


ANSWER: We will schedule you for a virtual consultation via WhatsApp Voice/Video, Skype or Viber. 


QUESTION: What kind of businesses do you typically work with? I’m worried my business might be too small.


ANSWER: We’ve worked with idea stage and functional stage businesses. Retail to real estate, service providers to consumer packaged goods, artists to events. There is no typical business or size. If you have an appetite to learn and a desire to adapt to the current way consumers and businesses engage, there’s a place in the programme for you and your business with the Khular First Step Programme.


QUESTION: Does Henry Meléndez attend every session? How much 1-on-1 time will clients get with him?


ANSWER: Henry Meléndez will have an Initial Fire Consultation with every client for 90 - 120 minutes to help develop and define the business or brand. Clients are encouraged to bring specific questions and notes for their time with Henry.


QUESTION: Other than Henry, who else is speaking, instructing, leading the programme?


ANSWER: Both senior and junior consultants will be available, and subject matter experts in each discipline will be booked for you.


QUESTION: How do I know if the timing is right for my business to sign up?


ANSWER: The subject matter is applicable to all businesses. All of the following apply,

QUESTION: What happens if I need to change my consultation date?


ANSWER: Clients are permitted to change their date up to one week prior to the consultation. The Consultation Vouchers are non-refundable but can be exchanged for different dates available in the same calendar year.


QUESTION: How long does the programme run for exactly?


ANSWER: The programme runs for up to 6 weeks per brand/business/person.


QUESTION: What does the schedule look like for the programme?


* Initial Fire Consultation (4 - 7 days after payment)
* Follow-Up Consultation (4 - 7 days after Initial Fire Consultation)
* Consultation 1 (Week 3)
* Consultation 2 (Week 4)
* Consultation 3 (Week 5)



QUESTION: What happens after I finish the programme?


ANSWER: Once the programme is complete you’re officially a Khular First Step alumni. You’ll have access to sign up for any of our membership packages to ensure you keep growing your brand, exclusive event invites and social media and web marketing.
